When my fiancé and I decided that we wanted to have a destination wedding, we began meeting with different travel agents. The only thing we knew for sure is that we wanted to go to Mexico. We were searching for someone to guide us through the process and make recommendations, but we were also looking for a travel agent who could offer quality customer service. We weren’t having much luck at that point. It seemed like everyone we talked to took days to get back to us, and none of these agencies really had advice on destination weddings. Then I heard about Romantic Planet Vacations. A friend of mine had used them a year ago and had a really great experience. I reached out and was soon connected to Amy Wood. We chatted on the phone for over half an hour, and I felt so much stress melt away during those 30 minutes. Amy not only specializes in destination weddings, but she has had a destination wedding of her own, and has helped organized travel for over a hundred wedding parties. We decided to move forward, and the process from that point on was smooth sailing. She even went over and above to help me make some decisions about my wedding details, based on her own experiences, and she was amazing at coordinating travel for my friends and family. Amy even contacted us a couple of times while we were on our trip to make sure things were going well. During the weeks leading up to the wedding, one of our family members had a serious health issue and had to cancel the trip last minute. They didn’t purchase cancellation insurance, but Amy worked hard with the travel company to get some of their money back.
